In order to sponsor Family Fun Nights and other school
events throughout the year, Spruce PTA organizes school fundraisers. The
listing below provides information about our fundraisers. Like our events, we pick from several of these a year to offer many opportunities for families to get involved without getting bored with the 'same old fundraiser'. For more information or to suggest other fundraising

Albertson's Club Card Benefits
Associate your Albertson’s club card with Spruce PTA and a % of your grocery bill will be donated to Spruce Elementary. Don’t forget to swipe that card when you shop!

Campbell's Labels For Education
Clip the marked labels and/or UPC codes from your favorite products and send them in to Spruce PTA! Campbell’s Soup Labels are redeemed for points used to purchase athletic equipment for PE. Keep sending in those labels!

Come party with Chuck E. and the gang! Enjoy pizza, games, and fun with your fellow dragons. A portion of the proceeds from the evening's sales benefit Spruce PTA!

eScrip
eScrip allows you to purchase gift cards for a wide range of retail establishments and a portion of the sale of the gift card is donated to Spruce PTA. You pay the same amount for the gift card as you would at the store, but your students benefit by getting a portion of the price.

Macy's Shop For a Cause
Each year Macy’s stores nationwide hold the Shop for a Cause
event to benefit local charities. 2010-2011 marked the first year that Spruce PTA participated, and what an event! For the month prior to the October event,
Spruce families sold ‘shopping passes’ to Macy’s for use on “Shopping Day”.
These passes entitled the bearer to special discounts and savings throughout
the store. The day of the event, Spruce students and teachers were on hand to
sell tickets to the public as they entered Macy’s. Each card sold is 100%
profit for the Spruce PTA!

McTeacher Night
Spruce PTA and McDonald’s team up to bring you an evening
where your teacher serves up the fun! A local McDonald’s restaurant hosts this
annual event in which our teachers work the kitchen making your favorite
burgers and treats! When you come to dine a portion of the proceeds from your
meal is donated to Spruce Elementary!

Parents' Night Out
Drop off your kids and enjoy and evening out while your
children are safe and supervised at school! Children will enjoy activities
including a coloring table, crafts, games with friends, or a video in the Spruce
Gym while you enjoy a few hours of your own! Spruce PTA volunteers, all responsible adults and fellow parents staff this event. A per child fee is charged for childcare.

Spirit Wear Sales
Show your Dragon Spirit! Spruce Spirit Wear is sold
annually, typically in the fall. The sale typically runs for a week and offers t-shirts
and sweatshirts imprinted with the Spruce Elementary logo. The focus of the
sale is to build school spirit. Any profit generated from the sale of Sprit
Wear goes back to our teachers in the form of educational materials and
financial support.

TerraCycle, Inc.
TerraCycle, Inc. is a company that takes “trash” and turns
it into cash for Spruce PTA! By transforming items such as sandwich bags and
Capri Sun pouches into useful products, TerraCycle makes a positive impact on
our environment, while supporting our cause with a per piece monetary value for
each item collected. As of today, Spruce PTA is a member of the Capri Sun
pouch, candy bar wrapper, and plastic baggie brigades. Your child can deposit
these items in any of our marked collection bins and they will be redeemed for
cash!

Yearbook
The first Annual Spruce Elementary School Yearbook was issued in 2009-2010 to
rave reviews. The yearbook chronicles the past school year and is released for
sale in early June. Teachers receive pages for their classroom and students are
given the opportunity to sign each others books.
